Administrative Appeals

A Hearing Officer, appointed by the City Manager as per City Code, conducts most administrative appeals.

The Hearing Officer is not an employee of the City and does not have an office on City premises. Hearings are held on an as-needed basis.

To initiate an administrative appeal, consult the city code related to the administrative decision from which you are appealing. Most appeals are initiated by sending notice of appeal to the City Recorder.
