Upcoming Construction: SR-106 (Main Street); Park Lane to Shepard Lane
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) and Farmington City are reconstructing SR-106 (Main Street) between Park Lane and Shepard Lane to expand pedestrian facilities, improve drainage, and extend the lifespan of the road.
Key Project Highlights:
This project will widen and extend the life of the road by resurfacing the roadway and installing curb, gutter and sidewalk on both the east and west sides of Main Street. Additional improvement includes restriping, upgrading signage, and reconstructing driveway and side-street approaches.
- Pedestrian Access Ramps: Rebuilding and making modifications to ensure pedestrian sidewalk crossings are accessible to everyone and meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
- Mill and Fill: The top layer of asphalt will be milled and replaced with new pavement.
- Roadway Signing and Striping: New signs and striping will be placed throughout the project limits. Striping improvements will be made specifically along SR-106, between Park Lane and Shepard Lane.
Schedule and Impacts:
- Daytime work where possible is Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Schedule updates will be made regularly throughout the duration of the project.
- One-way traffic controlled by a flagger with delays of up to 15 minutes.
- Temporary disruptions to mail, garbage and delivery services.
- Heavy equipment, support vehicles and crew members in the area which may lead to increased noise and vibration.
- Residents may experience access restrictions of up to 10 days while driveway tie-ins are constructed. These impacts will be communicated directly to residents in advance.
We anticipate completing the project by Fall 2026. UDOT appreciates your patience as we work to improve safety and mobility in your area.
