Farmington Fire Department is aware of the Governor’s temporary statewide fireworks restrictions issued due to extreme wildfire conditions across Utah.
At this time, fireworks in Farmington should be considered restricted. Farmington Fire Department is meeting with Farmington City leaders to discuss the state guidance, local impacts, and next steps. We are working very diligently to provide a safe and festive Fourth of July for our community while also protecting lives, property, and our open spaces from preventable fires.
Also included in this announcement, the State of Utah will move into Stage 2 Fire Restrictions beginning Saturday at 12:00 a.m. These restrictions are intended to reduce preventable fire starts during the current high-risk wildfire conditions.
Residents are reminded to check Farmington’s fireworks restriction map before purchasing or discharging fireworks. Fireworks may not be used in restricted areas, near dry vegetation, or in any area where discharge is otherwise prohibited.
