Baseball Fields

Parks are a tangible reflection of the quality of life in our community. City parks and open space improve our physical and psychological health, strengthen the community.

RESERVE: Reserve a Park pavilion, Private Pool Party, Tennis or Sports Field.   All reservations must be made at the Parks & Rec Department

Parks Overview

Farmington Pond Park

Farmington Pond is located at 750 N. 75 W. This facility offers Restrooms, Picnic Tables and a fishing dock. A great quiet little pond with hiking trail and with plenty of paved parking.

Open fires shall only be permitted within City Parks in designated fireplace, fire pit, or facility intended to contain a fire. Due to fire dangers, open fires are prohibited at Woodland Park and Farmington Pond Park from June 1st through October 31st annually, or during other periods of restrictions as directed by Resolution of the City Council.

Forbush Park (formerly Main)

Preserve Park

Preserve park is a quaint little neighborhood park that hosts a playground and half court basketball courts. A small grass area for a small game of catch and great sidewalks for the little ones to ride their trikes.

Regional Park

Regional Park is located at 178 S. 650 W. This facility offers Restrooms, Picnic Tables, Playground, Pickleball Courts, Basketball Courts, Baseball/Softball Fields, Walking Trail. This is a great place to come with your family and play on the playground or play pickleball.

Moon Park

Moon Park is located at 1350 North Main Street. This quaint 1.25 acres offers picnic tables, playground equipment, basketball court and walking trail. This is a great little neighborhood park with on street parking.

Shepard Park

Park Features:

  • 2 large pavilions hosting approximately 150 individuals
  • Restrooms

  • Sand Volleyball
  • Located near a grocery store and gas station
  • Located near Fast Food Businesses

Fee for Volleyball:
$2 for 1.5 hours
$8 for the day

*Special Use Permits are now required for:

  • Groups over 300
  • Use of amplified sound
  • Band groups
  • Additional electricity (Woodland lawn only)
  • City athletic field lighting (except tennis courts)
  • Animals (other than pets)
  • Extra power for amusement devices
  • Any other uses that may adversely affect abutting neighbors

You can pick up a Special Use Request Form at the Parks & Recreation Office. Permit requests must be filled at least 3 working days prior to requested event. Special Use Fees will apply according to Permit designated.

Ranches Park

Boweries may be reserved.

Mountain View Park

Mountain View Park is located at 300 East 500 South (just east of the cemetery). This unique park is 2 acres in size and offers 2 unlit tennis courts, playground equipment and a large grass area, along with off street parking.

South Park

South Park is located at 1384 South Frontage Rd.

Park Features:

  • Pavilion that can accommodate approximately 150 individuals
  • 2 ball fields
  • Restrooms
  • Large playing field
  • Playground equipment
  • Basketball court
  • Small skate board bowl
  • Sand Volleyball

*Special Use Permits are now required for:

  • Groups over 300
  • Use of amplified sound
  • Band groups
  • Additional electricity (Woodland lawn only) 
  • City athletic field lighting (except tennis courts)
  • Animals (other than pets)
  • Extra power for amusement devices
  • Any other uses that may adversely affect abutting neighbors

Heritage Park

Heritage Park is located at 1591 North 1075 West, (west of Highway 89). Boweries may be reserved.

Point of View

Point of View is located at the top of Robin Way. This great 1.5 acre neighborhood park offers playground and off street parking, along with a great view of the valley.

Woodland Park

Woodland Park is located at 300 South 200 East. Woodland park is available for reservation. The large grass area by the stage and the pavilion can be reserved. This lawn area can accommodate hundreds of people. The pavilion accommodates about 150 people.

Volleyball Reservation Required

  • Any Other Special Use

Special Use Permits shall be applied for using forms provided by the City and shall be filled with the Parks & Recreation Department during regular business hours. Permit requests must be filled at least 3 working days prior to requested event. Special Use Fees will apply according to Permit designated.

The Farm

The Farm is a bike park with trails of various levels of difficultly, located on the East Bench of Farmington. Trails are marked with signs indicating the level of difficulty.

*Downhill trails are for bike use only and are directional.*

Nearest parking to access The Farm is at the Upper Farmington Pond lot.

The Farm can also be accessed from the Fire Break Road.
