The Farmington Youth City Council was created and established for the purpose of “initiating, recommending, planning and implementing activities and programs…which promote and enhance youth citizenship and volunteerism within Farmington City.” Members must reside within Farmington City limits and be in at least the 9th grade, but not older than 12th grade, during their term.
The swearing-in date for the 2025 applicants will be in March 18th, 2025. You must be available on that date in order to serve on the Youth City Council. FYCC elects its own leadership.
The FYCC meets on the first Thursday of each month. They are deeply involved in the community. Some of their activities are helping with Easter Egg Hunt, Festival Days, helping with the Dinner Theater, and volunteering at Christmas events. They are always looking for other ways to serve and be involved in the community.
