Active Aging is available to all seniors 60 years and older to enjoy getting active. We are proud to be offering instructor led exercise classes like Yoga, Silver Sneakers, Zumba, and Line Dancing! You can also learn to play and practice pickleball alongside other seniors. Or join us on Thursdays for the Walking/Hiking club. We have lots to offer our senior community so come check us out!

Programs
Line Dancing
Come enjoy traditional country line dancing with a senior twist! We go over the steps slowly and go over transitions before putting the moves to music. We will be learning the classics such as “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”, “Electric Slide”, and so many more. Feel free to bring your boots or dancing shoes and get ready to have fun while getting active!

Senior Pickleball
Pickleball Clinic
Registration: February 2nd, 2026

Program Time: 12:30-2:00 pm
Program Details: This is a one-day instructional clinic teaching the basics of pickleball. You learn terminology, skills, and everything else you need to know to play in the 2.0 skill level.

Program Details:
Location: Farmington Gym
Mixer Play: Register individually at your skill level. The league runs for 90 minutes, one day a week, for six weeks. You will be assigned a number each time you arrive. The supervisor will assist with rules, etiquette, and gameplay suggestions.
Senior Beginners Pickleball 2.0 Skill: “This is an opportunity for those over the age of 65 to learn a new sport. Learn the rules and basic Pickleball game play.”
Senior Beginners Pickleball 2.5 Skill: “These players have already learned the basics and cannot only serve consistently but also return serves and dink with a high percentage success rate. As a player, if you are able to control the ball well and purposefully direct a winning shot, then please join our adult Pickleball leagues.”

Silver Sneakers
This class is for seniors and uses equipment such as weights, a ball, and a rope, to work on strength training, flexibility, balance, and cardio. A chair is provided for certain routines and for participants to hold onto for stability if needed. The chair can also be used anytime is standing is challenging.

Takin’ a Hike / Walking Club

Come enjoy and learn some of Farmington’s history while outside in our great community. Get outside and meet others. Enjoy to walk outdoors on trails and pavement as well as broaden their knowledge of the trails in the area.

Zumba Gold
A fun class to let loose and enjoy amazing, upbeat Latin inspired music and movement including easy dance moves, for a great cardio workout. Zumba Gold is based upon the Zumba format but made easier for beginners and seniors. It doesn’t matter if you follow all the steps! Just have fun!

Yoga
Chair Yoga
Come enjoy the benefits of yoga while listening to your body and its needs. Movements are done primarily in a chair, never on the ground. Blocks, pads, and bands are provided so you can experience a multitude of different movements. We work on balance, stability, strength, and proper movement patterns!

Senior Yoga

Restorative Flow Yoga
We are excited to introduce another yoga class! Join us for a Vinyasa style of yoga designed to take your yoga skills to the next step of your yoga journey. This is a dynamic flow yoga class that incorporates breathwork and mindfulness with traditional yoga movement, as well as some restorative stretches. In this class there will be some slightly advanced moves/positions.
Instructor: TBD. The first 4 weeks of 2026 this class will be led by aspiring teachers as we continue to adapt the class. A permanent teacher will be selected in February.
