Utility Rate Increase

Farmington City implemented utility rate increases in effect July 1st, 2025, reflecting on invoices for July’s services, which will be sent/ billed in August. The rate increases are necessary to ensure adequate revenues to cover operating expenses and assist with current and future infrastructure maintenance and replacement. As an example, the Water Fund must have financial resources immediately available for repairing or replacing expensive culinary water main lines whenever breaks occur. Rates will vary for customers based on usage levels, number of waste cans, whether the area requires sewer pumping, and other factors. Please note that Central Davis Sewer District sets its rates, which are not under Farmington City’s control.
