Everything ages and needs to be replaced, including water mains. In the next few days, construction will begin to replace the Main Street Water line between State Street and 600 North, replacing a century-old water line.
This will undoubtedly be incredibly disruptive to traffic, and there will be periods of water loss for specific residences as the project progresses. We apologize in advance, but the work must be done. Crews will do their best to notify specific homes if water is anticipated to be shut off, and to quickly restore water flows.
